Koufonisia are two small islands, Ano and Kato Koufonisi, which are spiritually joined by the incredible beaches, the crystal clear waters and the blue of the Aegean. Time flows differently here.

Koufonisia is a complex of three neighboring islands, Ano Koufonissi, Kato Koufonissi and Keros. Kato Koufonisi and Keros are uninhabited islands, so saying Koufonisia is usually the world refers to Ano Koufonisi. Koufonisia belong to the so-called Small Cyclades, a complex of islands that additionally includes Donoussa, Schinoussa and Heraklia.
Koufonisia are synonymous with walking. But don't worry, since the island is so small that you can cross it by walking in just half an hour. The same applies to Kato Koufonisi where there is no road network at all. But the fantastic beaches with the emerald waters will compensate you.
In Koufonisia you will find tropical beaches with golden sand and emerald waters. For isolation you will prefer the beaches in Kato Koufonisi, which you will go to by boat. The main beaches in Koufonisia are:
Sand: Wonderful beach with shallow turquoise waters and lovely sandy beach. The beach in the village of the island. If you live in the village you don't have to walk long since it is in front of you.
thick cap: Pebble beach and turquoise waters. It is 850 m from the village.
Harokopou (Phoenix): Sandy beach with blue-green waters, in the area of the same name Harokopou. The majority of visitors call the beach ‘Phoenix’ because of the local business. It is about 1,100 m from the village.
Lantern: Sandy beach with turquoise waters. It is about 1,400 m from the village.
Platia Punta (Italian): One of the best beaches with nice sand and clear waters. Busy beach, also known to the locals as ‘Italida’. It is about 1,800 m from the village. It does not have a store, but 400 m away at the beach ‘Fanos’ You can be served.
Pori: The top beach with white sand and fantastic emerald waters. Sandy beach at the base of a large natural bay. It is protected from south and westerly winds. It has two cafes. Nearby are the sights of Xylobatis Caves, Milk and the Cave ‘The Devil's Eye’. The distance from the village is 3.5 km.
Kato Koufonisi: In Kato Koufonisi you will go by boat for the wonderful beaches and its unique tavern.
Milk: A strange, snail-shaped geological formation where a tiny pool is formed.
Pool: A hole in the rocks about 3 meters in diameter filled with sea water.
Devil's Eye: A hole in the rocks through which the sea water carried by the waves passes with force.
